Our trip to the Indiana State building
The Indiana Statehouse in Indianapolis is the state capitol building of Indiana, housing the Indiana General Assembly, the Governor's office, the Indiana Supreme Court, and other state officials. Built in 1888, it is the fifth building to serve as the state government's home. The original statehouse in Corydon still stands as a historic site, while the second building, the old Marion County courthouse, was replaced in the early 20th century. The third building, modeled after the Parthenon, was condemned in 1877 due to structural issues and demolished to make way for the construction of the current Statehouse on the same site.
